John Oliver Peel

President of Temple Knights Productions Inc., Co-founder of the National Martial Arts Theatre Company, playwright, author, actor, songwriter, composer, painter, bonsai artist, principal teacher and co-owner of Temple Knights Martial Arts Academy. John lives and works with his wife Valerie at their home and retreat Centre in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.
John was a popular fixture in the 1960's-1970's rock scene, having played and sung for some of Canada's most popular bands of the day. He toured with mainstream acts like Jimmy Hendrix, The Turtles, Wilson Pickett, and many more. His real love, however, has been classical music, Broadway musicals and acting. John played Fagin in "Oliver ", and later Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol" as well as Master Jonah in the musical Knights, an adaptation of his original play The 13th Knights performed at Ontario Place. He played the lead in Scrooge The Musical, an original by John Oliver Peel and recently Long John Silver in his musical Treasure Island which has been changed to "Silver."

Valerie Houston-Peel

Vice-President of Temple Knights Productions. Inc., Co-founder of the National Martial Arts Theatre Company, co-owner, administrator and teacher of Temple Knights Martial Arts Academy. Valerie introduced the first Tai Chi exercise show on television in the 1980s and has produced, created, and performed in several health and fitness videos/dvds selling on the international market. Valerie produced two runs of "The 13th Knight" in Toronto in 1997 and '98. She produced two runs of Knights the action adventure musical in 2009. Valerie produced, assistant directed and performed in Scrooge An Original Musical by John Oliver Peel in 2009 & 2010. Valerie produced and assistant directed 2 runs of Treasure Island the Musical by John Oliver Peel.
